I've spent my career building things with people, not alongside them. Everyone in this space has earned my trust, my respect, and my genuine endorsement.

These are professionals I work with, refer to, and believe in. If I've brought them into my circle, it's because I've seen what they do and who they are — and I think you should know them too.

Dr Cherrie Short CBE

Cherrie Short CBE helps international students in the US and UK move from self-doubt to confident leadership. With over 30 years in public service, including roles as a UK Equality and Human Rights Commissioner, City Councillor, and forensic social worker, she brings practical, insider knowledge of the systems students are navigating.

Her coaching focuses on helping students navigate university systems, integrate culturally, and step into leadership, turning the “outsider” experience into a powerful advantage. She also works with women entering politics, supporting them to lead with confidence and authority.

Through her Belong + Become approach, Cherrie combines legal insight, psychology, and real-world strategy to help students speak up, advocate for themselves, and plan their futures, whether that’s in the UK, US, or beyond.

She offers tailored support ranging from arrival intensives and semester coaching to dissertation and career guidance, alongside public speaking on women in leadership and political life.

She is here to support students who feel stuck, unheard, or out of place, and are ready to show up fully.
